Meet Amanda, Autism Parent Coach
A coach with a decade of hands on experience, and a plan for your family.
Amanda is the founder and lead life coach at Connected Autism Coaching. She works with parents raising autistic teens, and with autistic adults, with a focus on practical, everyday life.
She brings over a decade working with individuals with disabilities and high behaviors, alongside behavior therapists. That experience shapes every session: what is underneath the behavior, what to try next, and how to keep going without burning out.
That honesty is the point. Amanda does not diagnose, treat, or replace therapy. She coaches on the practical, everyday side of life: how to understand what is happening, how to respond with a plan, and how to keep going without burning out.
My story
Draft wording for your approval. Let us know what feels right.
"I grew up with an autistic brother, and helping him taught me firsthand what meltdowns, school battles, and burnout look like at home, not just in a textbook. That experience led me to a decade of professional work alongside behavior therapists, supporting individuals with disabilities and high behaviors one-on-one. Today I coach parents of autistic teens, and autistic adults, to replace frustration with insight, fear with strategy, and burnout with balance. Every session ends with one clear plan to try. I'm not a therapist."
What Amanda believes
Understanding comes before fixing
Raising an autistic teen is not about "fixing" your child. It is about understanding them better. When parents understand the why behind behavior, the whole house calms down.
Parents need support too
So much attention goes to the teen that parents run on empty. Coaching gives parents their own space, their own plan, and their own confidence back.
Small plans beat big promises
Every session ends with a structured action plan. One clear next step, tailored to your family, beats a long list of generic advice.
